12/7/2023 0 Comments Dysphoria euphoria![]() If you already feel normal in your assigned gender, which all cis people do, transitioning can't make you feel "more normal" because you've already reached your personal state of normalcy! (Non-cosmetic) surgeons will only perform life-altering procedures and treatments that you need in order to feel normal, and if you don't need to be the opposite sex, then you don't need to transition, thus making you not trans. ![]() We transition to the opposite sex to feel comfortable and those already comfortable shouldn't transition just to increase their ALREADY PRESENT state of comfort. If your fine with your assigned sex, there's no way that the other one can make you objectively 'happier' - One sex isn't better than the other, one isn't your "right gender" and the other your "more right gender" (You also can't have multiple genders, by the way.If you remove your earrings to let the holes close up, you were to some degree unsatisfied with your piercings. If you cut off all your hair, you were to some degree unsatisfied with it before. If you get your wisdom teeth removed, you were obviously unsatisfied with them as they were causing pain, much like transitioning for trans people. You would have to be uncomfortable to some degree (no matter how small) if getting rid of something you were born with makes you feel better. Removing something can't make you happier unless it was causing problems in the first place - I'm talking in the case of ftm top and mtf bottom surgeries.Feel free to correct me in the comments if I'm off though.) To my knowledge, real nonbinary people do experience dysphoria, but I don't think I'm knowledgable enough on the topic to accurately include it in this post. (Disclaimer: I am referring to binary trans people here. It doesn't even make sense, you logically cannot have euphoria without dysphoria and here's why. I've encountered this argument more times than I can count and I'm getting pretty sick of it. "You don't need dysphoria to be trans, you need euphoria! Therefore, I am trans because wearing skirts makes me happy." We encourage users to find more descriptive terms to use instead.
